With a lot on the line, the Kings got on the board early, just 1:09 into the contest when Teal Burns found the back of the net for the 7th time this year in a Kings uniform and a 1-0 lead. Two minutes later, Cohen Adair would be on a 2-on-1 rush, get a loose puck after a Daniel Schuler shot, some fancy footwork and stick handling in close made it 2-0 with his 31st. Adair, not done, would add his 32nd less than half a minute later for a quick 3-0 lead and forcing Victoria to call their timeout.

It seemed to settle Victoria, as they kept the Kings at bay until late in the 1st, when Teal Burns would score his 2nd of the period and the Kings ad a 4-0 lead after 20. They lead shots on goal19-4 and were firmly in control. Into the 2nd and a more even contest on the scoreboard, but still with the Kings dominating in shots on goal. The lone goal in the frame came from JP Villeneuve, finding a loose puck in the crease after Tanner Cochrane attempted a wrap around, burying it for his 7th asa King and a 5-0 lead.

Into the 3rd and the Kings added their 6th of the night early. Teagan Waugh threw a puck on net from just above the goal line, his 23rd for a 6-0 lead. Then Jon Jutzi late in the 3rd lead a rush down the ice, shooting a puck on net and getting past Victoria netminder Taylor Pears, off both posts and in fora 7-0 win for the Kings. Powell River outshot Victoria 49-15, Jonah Imoo picked up his 6th win and 2nd shutout of the season (both against Victoria).
