The Kings' coaching staff and players are gearing up for 3 fall hockey camps & programs. You can find the registration forms under the 'Camps' toolbar or you can email Kings' coach Chad van Diemen at kingsac@shaw.ca.
The 3 programs are as follows:
1. Defense Development – This program is designed specifically for defensemen. The Kings coaching staff will run this program. There will be 8 sessions focusing on improving skills and techniques. Each week will focus on different aspects to improve a defenseman's game such as positioning, skating & decision-making with the puck.
ALWAYS TUESDAYs from 3:45 – 4:45pm
Dates: January 10, 17, 24, 31 and February 7, 14, 21, and 28th
Price: $125.00 + HST ($140.00 total)
2. Skills & Puck Development – The Kings' coaching staff will run this program. We will be running 8 sessions focusing on improving puck skills. each week we will be focusing on a different aspect of puck-handling. For example, drills will include stick handling, puck protection, face-offs, puck cycles, chips & support, shooting & passing.
Note: Goalies will get a ton of shots plus 1-on-1 instruction from the Kings' goaltenders.
ALWAYS MONDAY
Dates: January 9, 23, 20 February 6, 13, 20, 27 and March 5th
Group 1: 3:45 – 4:35 (max 30 skaters)
Group 2: 4:40 – 5:30 (max 30 skaters)
Price: $125.00 + HST, $100.00 + HST for goaltenders
3. Hockey Academy 'Phase 1' – We are excited to bring back our Kings' Hockey Academy. The Academy is for Bantam & Midget rep players and runs right after school from 3:30 – 6:30pm. The program includes an hour and fifteen minutes of ice a day focusing on all areas of the game adn intense dry-land sessions. Other aspects include stretching, gym & core workouts, plyometric workouts, nutrition seminars, Junior hockey seminar, goaltender seminars, video sessions, Q & A sessions, homework study sessions with the Kings and healthy snacks. Hockey gear storage & transportation to the arena from Brooks High School will also be available.
ALWAYS WEDNESDAY from 3:30 – 6:30pm
Dates: January 11, 28, 25th and February 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29th
Price: $275.00 + HST
