Maguire in Exhibition with BUT

From the Terriers blog:

Hockey returned to Agganis  Arena yesterday afternoon as BU scored five power play goals in a 5-0 exhibition game win against the University of Toronto. Sophomore Alexx Privitera (photo) was the top point-scorer with three assists, while freshmen blueliners Matt Grzelcyk and Ahti Oksanen each record of a pair of helpers.

Junior Matt Nieto’s wrister opened the scoring and sophomore Evan Rodrigues doubled the lead tipping in Oksanen’s blast, both in the first period. Sophomore Yassin Cissé rapped a puck home from the goalmouth and freshman Mike Moran banked one off the Varsity Blues’s beleaguered goal in the middle period, while sophomore Cason Hohmann completed the scoring on a low wrist shot.

Rookie goalies Matt O’Connor and Sean Maguire each played half the game, but with Toronto putting only 17 shots on goal—compared to the Terriers’ 50—neither was challenged too much.

BU coach Jack Parker experimented with his lines throughout the game, however, the first line of Nieto, Sahir Gill and Cissé looked particularly effective both at even strength and on power play.

Photos from the game are here.
