Powell River Kings forward Luke Nogard has committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks for the 2014/2015 season.
In two seasons with the Kings, Nogard, 20, was a work-horse, playing in 126 out of a possible 130 regular season and playoff games, scoring 35 goals and 37 assists for 72 points.
The Ancaster, Ontario product came to the Kings from Junior B in Ontario, but had experience in the OJHL with the Hamilton Red Wings. He is set to join Brian Rideout at Nebraska next season, both as freshmen.
The Kings congratulate Luke on this achievement and wish him the best moving forward.
