Powell River, BC – July 14, 2026 – The Powell River Kings are thrilled to announce the signing of defenseman Landon Greenough for the 2026-27 BCHL season.
The 20-year-old Anchorage, Alaska native brings dynamic two-way play, elite puck-moving skills, and proven leadership from the NAHL to the Kings blue line. Standing at 5’11” and 181 lbs, the left-shooting blueliner is known for his vision, hockey IQ, and ability to generate offense from the back end while maintaining defensive responsibility.
In the 2025-26 season with the Anchorage Wolverines, Greenough delivered a standout campaign, appearing in 57 games and posting 2 goals, 34 assists, and 36 points, along with a physical edge (67 PIM). He ranked among the top-scoring defensemen in the league and was selected to represent the NAHL at the 2026 Top Prospects Tournament in Plymouth, Michigan — a clear indicator of his potential at the next level.
A product of Alaska’s strong hockey development system (Mighty Moose youth roots and prior junior experience), Greenough has steadily climbed the ranks, logging over 100 NAHL games with consistent production and plus play. His addition bolsters the Kings’ defensive corps with mobility, power-play acumen, and a competitive edge that will energize our lineup.
Greenough becomes the latest addition in a busy offseason for the Kings as the team builds toward a competitive 2026-27 campaign. Welcome to Powell River, Landon!
