On a side note, Langley forward Jackson Playfair has been suspended 5 games for the hit on Steve Schmidt in Sunday afternoon’s game. The hit was an open ice elbow to the head, well after Schmidt had released the puck. Playfair was given 5 and a game for interference on the play and would have served 2 games regardless.
