This past Sunday, Wendy Adams brought the 'Shannon Goss Compassion Project' to the Kings' game. The campaign was a success!
The following is a letter Wendy wrote to express her thanks to the fans, sponsors and Midget Rep team that made the event such a great fundraiser:
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to you for your most generous support of the Compassion Project.
With the TV raffle, donations, and 50/50 donated back by Lisanne, there was over $2000 in funds generated! To put this into perspective, it has taken me the past 9 months to fundraise the same amount that was raised in just a few hours at the Kings Game!
Shannon and her children were blown away by the kindness and support received at the game. To top it off, they absolutely loved seeing the Kings play (an opportunity that does not often come their way).
Although we have faced several challenges (and are sure to face more), we are constantly amazed by the depth of spirit in Powell River. You all are very much a part of that spirit and Powell River is a much better place with you in it. Thank-you!
