Game Recap | Box Score |
Bodie had a goal and an assist, while Carr added a helper of his own to help Union to the victory. It was the final collegiate game for Bodie and Carr, who both graduate from the program after 4 years and two trips to the Frozen Four tournament (the last was in 2012 in Tampa). It was a true “David vs Goliath” story when you crunch the numbers. Union, one of the smaller top-flight schools spends around $676,000 on its hockey program each year. By comparison, Minnesota spends $2.3million. Union beat Boston College in the 1st round of the Frozen Four, and they spend $3.25m (more here).
