Dalrymple BCHL Player of the Week

Powell River Kings defenceman Craig Dalrymple is the British Columbia Hockey League’s Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 4, the league announced Monday.

Dalrymple scored the first hat trick by a defenceman in the BCHL this season including the game-winner in a 4-1 win Friday over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The 6-foot-5, 212-pound blueliner was a major factor in the Kings 13/14 showing on the penalty kill for the week as well.

The Kippen, Ont. product added a goal in an overtime win against the Cowichan Valley Capitals Sunday as the Kings went 3-0 for the week while allowing just three goals against.

Honourable mentions this week go to Powell River Kings goalie Jamie Phillips (three games, three wins, 0.989 GAA, .962 sv%, 1st Star, 3rd Star), Coquitlam Express forward Alex Petan ( four goals, two assists, 1st Star), Chilliwack Chiefs forward Derek Huisman (three goals, one assist, 1st Star), Chiefs defenceman David Thompson (one goal, two assists) and Coquitlam Express forward Alexander Kerfoot (six assists, 2nd Star, 3rd Star).
