It’s a Kings gameday and one where the Kings season is on the line. Following a 3-0 loss last night, the Kings will face elimination tonight against the Victoria Grizzlies, down 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. In order to advance, the Kings need a win tonight and Saturday in Victoria.
The game is massive, but so is everything happening off it. With a minimum of 1200 people in the crowd, a host of local businesses will guarantee a $3000 50/50 jackpot for the game. In addition, there will be live music before the game and hot dogs available for sale, with proceeds going to the Powell River Food Bank.
Faceoff it at 7:30 and suffice to say it’s a must-win game…there is no “tomorrow” and no “second chance”. Be there to support the team, as they’ve said repeatedly this playoffs and through points in the regular season that a big crowd helps life the team, especially when they’re down.
