Congrats go out to Kings Alumni Erik Vos (Holy Cross), Matt Garbowsky (RIT) and Josh Watson (RIT) for the naming to the NCAA’s All-Academic team for 2011/2012. The selection means that the three earned a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale.
Vos suited up 39 times during the regular season for Holy Cross, scoring 13 goals and 14 assists along the way. Vos has already been named captain for the Crusaders for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.
Garbowsky was 4th in team scoring for the Tigers this year. In 39 games, Garbowsky scored 9 times and added 11 helpers. Also with the Tigers at RIT, Josh Watson played in 3 games last season, going 1-2 with a 1.63 goals against average and 940 save percentage.
