The Kings have traded future considerations to the Langley Rivermen in exchange for forward Jacob Wingfield.
The 19 year old Wingfield is a Sunshine Coast native hailing from Halfmoon Bay and he will get the opportunity to play junior hockey close to home for the first time. He is currently in his second BCHL season and has played in 49 total games scoring 9 times and collecting 5 assists. This season he has a goal and 2 assists in 6 games.
Wingfield’s father Brad is a well known figure in the hockey world. He played 4 seasons in the BCHL before playing another 12 years of pro around the globe. He is currently the G.M. Head Coach for the PJHL’s Coastal Tsunami.
