Kings Celebrate Coach Lewis’s 500 Wins as a BCHL Coach & GM

The Kings organization will be celebrating Coach Kent Lewis's 500 wins as a BCHL coach and general manager at this afternoon's game.

Lewis hit the 500 mark when the Kings beat Coquitlam last weekend on their Lower Mainland swing.

Coach Lewis began his coaching career in the BCHL with the Kings back in 1988-89 alongside Rick Hopper. Kent went on to coach in Nanaimo as well as in Victoria. He returned back to Powell River in 2007. Under Kent's leadership, the Kings have become stronger and stronger over the past four years and this year hit the number 1 spot on the Canadian Junior Hockey League's weekly rankings of Junior A hockey in the country.

The Kings invite everyone to stay after the game and enjoy some Tim's coffee, hot chocolate and timbits while taking some time to congratulate Coach Lewis on this acheivement.

The puck drops at 1:30pm at The Hap!
