Kings commit to Shattuck-St. Mary’s blueliner Casey Aman

POWELL RIVER (May 26, 2021) – The Powell River Kings have announced the commitment of 2003-born defenceman Casey Aman for the 2021-22 BCHL season.

Aman, who stands 5-foot-11 and is a right handed shot, finished his third and final season attending Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, MN suiting up for 36 games and tallying 13 points on the school’s Prep team. During his three seasons in high school, the Johnstown, PA native amassed 63 points in 130 games played.

“I am super excited to be joining the Kings and playing in the BCHL next season,” commented Aman. “Coming to Canada and playing in Powell River will be an experience that I am looking forward to. I can’t wait to meet the coaching staff and players and get settled in town.”

“We are excited that Casey has chosen to play his junior hockey with the Kings,” stated general manager Chad van Diemen. “He is a very responsible defenceman who plays solid in all three zones. He sees the ice well, makes smart plays with and without the puck, and is a difficult player to play against. We look forward to working with Casey on a daily basis when he arrives in September.”

Aman joins Sam Belanger, Aaron Neal and Anthony Lucarelli as commitments for the Kings for the upcoming season.
