Quiet Week, Bowl-o-rama & Richardson Ranked

It’s been a pretty quite week in the Kingdom, with the team working hard on preparations for the games this weekend against the Grizzlies. Saturday’s game could be a dangerous one, as a fired up Grizzly side will be looking to return the favour of spoiling the teddy bear toss night for the Kings. The Kings will need to battle a feeling of complacency coming off a team they shutout last game around, so it has the makings of a great game with both teams with having something to prove.

Tonight (Friday), the Kings staff and players are having a Christmas Billet Bowl-a-thon. It’s a great chance for the Kings and their billets to get together and have a little fun mid-season. I’m personally ready to demonstrate my extreme lack of skill on the lanes, and show why I should stick to the announce booth. I’m a turkey, but for a whole different reason aside from bowling.

Finally, some great news for Kings product Evan Richardson. He’s been ranked on the NHL Central Scouting watch list and is a potential pick for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft to be held in Pittsburgh June 22nd and 23rd. Other BCHL’ers listed were potential mid-round selections, Coquitlam Express forward Alex Kerfoot, Prince George Spruce Kings forward Jujhar Khaira, Surrey Eagles forwards Sean McGovern and Brandon Morley, Eagles defenceman Devon Toews, Merritt Centennials defenceman Reece Willcox and Salmon Arm SilverBacks forward Morgan Zulinick.
