Excerpt from Rodger's Ramble after last night's game:
I enter this from the bus in the Sun Wave CEntre parking lot.
The Silverbacks used a strong middle stretch of the second period to hold off the Kings 3-2. Captain David Killip scored the GWG on the power-play, at 19:23 of the 2nd. That followed goals from Jaaryed Tenvaanholt and Bryce Gervais.
The Kings were very strong in the first and third periods. It could be said the third period was there best of the road trip.
Chase Martin was good in goal for Salmon Arm when he had to be, especially in the late going. However the Kings had their chances to put the game back on even terms.
The Kings now have 6 days before a trip to Coquitlam on Friday.
