The fans didn’t have to wait long for the Teddy Bear toss goal, just 3 minutes into the game, the Kings worked the puck around before Craig Dalrymple found a lane and fired it in on the powerplay to send the bears flying and giving the Kings a 1-0 lead on Dalrymple’s 15th of the season.

That was all the scoring in the 1st period, but 3:07 into the 2nd, the Grizzlies would tie it up a man through Sean Robertson, then took the lead 6 minutes after that through Jarryd Ten Vaanholt. The life had been sucked out of the game, as the fans and Kings were quiet. The spark came from Teagan Waugh who batted a bouncing puck into the net from a bad angle, his 11th and tying the game at 2.

Three minutes later, the Kings would take the lead, on what would eventually be the game winning goal from Cohen Adair who fired a missile short side on Garrett Rockafellow, that snuck by the Victoria goaltender for a 3-2 lead.

Into the 3rd period now and Daniel Schuler latched onto a nice lofted pass from Chris Williams on a partial breakaway made it 4-2 and Matt Scarth iced the win with an empty net goal with 41 seconds to go for a big 5-2 win.

Three Stars of the Game
