The 10th Annual Dream Auction & Golf Classic this past weekend was a success! With over 250 guests attending the Dinner and just under 100 golfers, the long-standing Powell River fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis and the Powell River Kings was enjoyed by many.
Powell River-ite and BC Lions' Jesse Newman was the official guest of honour at the event. Guests were quick to show their appreciation and admiration for Jesse who made the CFL having grown up in a community where there is not a youth football association.
MC Dan DeVita lit up the stage with the Live Auction where the hot-ticket items included a kitchen courtesy of Country Woodworkers, a heat pump (Barry Kosturos), a beautiful patio set (Valley), a signed Ovechkin jersey and a number of other wonderful donated items that attendees did their best to outbid eachother on. David Bowes and the Laughing Oyster presented guests with an incredible buffet dinner.
Golfers were treated to a perfect day on the links as Sunday's sunshine and clear blue skies contributed to making the Dream Golf Classic portion of the event a huge success. The winners of the Dream Golf Classic were:
