Caleb Bentham signs with Kings

The Powell River Kings are excited to announce the signing of 05′ defenceman Caleb Bentham for the 2022-23 season.

Caleb who is from Victoria played last season with the South Island Royals U18 team of the BCEHL where in 35 games finished 5th in team scoring and led all defenceman by collecting 5 goals and 17 assists. Prior to playing for the Royals he spent 3 years playing in the CSSHL with Pacific Coast Academy.

Caleb was an attendee of the Kings spring camp in May where he made a great impression on the Kings coaching staff. “He stood out with poise with the puck and his skating ability” says Brock Sawyer “He defends the rush well and possesses good habits with and without the puck. We are excited to welcome Caleb and the Bentham family to Powell River”

The 17 year old will most likely be the youngest player for the Kings when they open training camp on September 1st and kick off the regular season September 23 at home versus Nanaimo.
