Kings Acquire Peter Muzyka from Vees

POWELL RIVER, BC – The Powell River Kings announced Thursday the acquisition of 2000 born-defenceman Peter Muzyka from the Penticton Vees in exchange for future considerations.

During the 2019-20 season, Muzyka was a member of Cornell University’s men’s hockey team. The native of Toronto, Ontario most recently played junior hockey in the 2018-19 season with Vees, putting up three assists and 36 penalty minutes in 39 games. Previously, Muzyka played two seasons with the North York Rangers of the OJHL.

“We are excited to add Peter to our team. He is an experienced player who is difficult to play against,” said Kings General Manager Chad van Diemen. “He’s had very good coaching in his junior career and last year at Cornell.  He’s someone we will lean on in key situations and will be a huge asset to our team both on and off the ice.”
