The matchups for the first round of the British Columbia Hockey League playoffs are now known with the postseason beginning on Friday, March 16.
All series are a best-of-seven format. The higher-seeded teams will host games 1, 2 and 5 and 7 if necessary. Check www.bchl.ca for game dates; start times are subject to arena availability.
Interior Conference:
#1 seed Penticton Vees will meet #4 seed Chilliwack Chiefs.
#2 seed Merritt Centennials will meet #3 seed Prince George Spruce Kings.
Coastal Conference
#1 seed Powell River Kings meet #4 seed Coquitlam Express
#2 seed Surrey Eagles meet #3 seed Cowichan Valley Capitals.
Teams will be re-seeded after the first round. The first game of the second round is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27. The league final will begin either April 6 or 7 depending on the length of the second-round matchups.
The Kings will have home ice advantage with the following bolded games at home:
Round 1 (Conference Semi Finals)
Game 1: Friday March 16th at 7:30
Game 2: Saturday March 17th at 7:30
Game 3: Monday March 19th
Game 4: Tuesday March 20th
Game 5: Thursday March 22nd at 6:00pm
Game : Friday March 23rd
Game 7: Saturday March 24th at 8:00pm
Tickets are now on sale for Friday and Saturday's games at the Kings' office. Ticket prices are 15.00/adult, 12.00/youth, and 9.00/child.
